Ok this is my four year old nephew he was diagnosed with duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), it’s a disease that attacks every muscle in your body, it is genetic and is carried by the mother but only effects boys. By the time he reaches the age of 7 or 8 he with be in leg braces to help him walk, and by the age of 10 to 12 he will no longer have any use of his legs, and will have to be in a wheel chair fir the rest of his life. but the age of 14 or 15 he will be in a electrical wheel chair as he will not be able to use his arms. Once he gets to his twenties he will be in his last 5 to 10 years of his life as the life span of a boy with DMD is mid 20’s to early 30’s. But if they find a cure for DMD in the next 5 to 6 years my nephew luca has a greater chance of living for a longer period of time, so please reblog this to raise awareness of this terrible illness. but i bet you hadnt heard about it before you read this so that just shows how little known the illness is so please reblog for him and the other thousands of children who have had there life cut short by this. im mean its not like its going to make your blog look ugly, he is a beautiful little boy anyway
